MSR Altered Paint Can

Hi everyone, this is the swap for December over at MSR. The altered paint can, this was a challenge for me as my partner did not want santa, reindeers, elves or any cartoon holiday characters. So, I found this design in my candy wrapper file. I just printed the design, added a few bling and embellishments to the handle. These make great gifts for the holidays and is very easy to make. Hop on over the the myscraproom.ning.com and join a few swaps. TFSB.

Christmas Party Favor

Hello everyone I'm getting back into the swing of making party favors. Here is one I am doing for this Christmas these will hold either mints or chocolates. I used the "Wrap It Up" Cricut cartridge to cut the small bag and card stock from the "I Believe" from My Minds Eye. These make great party favors for any event, just add a different lace or trim and sentiment. TFSB

Over the next few days watch out for my projects for the Xmas Holiday. TFSB

SSSS Cigar Box Swap - Halloween

Here is the Cigar Box that I created for my partner for the Secret Squirrel Cigar Box Swap hosted by Jade on Facebook. I used a fabric panel and mod podged to the cover, I also added a crackle effect to the entire box, then embellished with lace, orange trim, WOC black roses and flatbacked pearls. Then for the inside I added a Happy Halloween sticker, ribbon trim and a ruffled trim to form a pocket with a orange pull bow, then filled with goodies. I enjoyed making this box. I want to thank Jade for allowing me to join in and participate. TFSB

MSR Desk Caddy Swap

MyScrapRoom's swap for Sept was to alter an acrylic frame and to make it a Desk Caddy. My partner wanted a Halloween theme for hers. I added one large note pad and one post it which I found at Target. I also added the resign piece I found at Michaels. Added some lace, trim, a glittery leaf, a flower and a small spider on the right. I really had fun making this caddy. Leave a comments and TFSB.

YPP Paper Bag Upcycle Swap

This months challenge was to decorate a paper bag for Halloween. I kept my design a little simple. I had so much trouble with my Cricut when it came to cutting out pieces with small details. But I was able to cut this spider web using the "Paper Doll Dress Up" cartridge, and added purple stickles to give it that sparkle. The mat designer paper is by Recollections I inked the edges then added stickers, aspider, a digital image, and cut down two cupcake toppers (Boo and ghost & pumpkins). On the reverse side I just added a witches tag with clothes pin. Really simple and cute. TFSB

Witches Shoe

I picked up the new Princess cartridge and cut a few shoes for Halloween. This is so much easier to have the Cricut cut the shoe. I used the Toil & Trouble glittered swirl paper for the black ones and regular cardstock for the orange ones. Also, the orange flower which is made from satin ribbon I learned how to make from Jannaviles on youtube. They came out so cute, they will be part of my Halloween display this year. TFSB

Altered Bead Organizer

I've been away from blogging for a while. I've been participating in swaps and learning new things. Well, here is the latest swap I was in over at "myscraproom.ning.com. We were asked to alter a bead organizer and then fill er up with goodies. The hardest part about this organizer is getting the glue to stick. Neither hot glue, Aleenes Thick Designer Glue or E6000 would stick to this plastic container. I found that the Score Tape worked the best at holding everything down and staying in place. TFSB.

Junque Journal/Smash Book Swap

Here is the smash book that my swap partner made for me. Love the colors that she used and the papers. I have never seen these papers in my M's. The pics show the inside cover and one of the pages she created for me. She even had a page with a piece of the bazooka bubble gum box. Love Bazooka Joe, I can chew on that stuff all day. She did a lovely job.

Altered Memo/Letter Holder

Recently my local craft store had a sidewalk sale. And this book was only $.25, so I could not pass it up at this price. After seeing a video on youtube on a similar project I decided to do one for myself. I folded the pages then attached the book to heavy weight chipboard and covered the sides and the bottom with cardstock, then embellished. This is great for gift giving and very easy to do in just under an hour.
